Galeria of Imagination at MainPlace Mall

By Annie Young, Publisher for Macaroni Kid Santa Ana and Macaroni Kid Newport Beach-Costa Mesa-Corona del Mar October 24, 2021

Santa Ana is the birthplace of many amazing and talented artists. It's about time we had a central makerspace, a creative hub where artists, young and old, can gather and create. Thanks to the leadership of Yenny Bernal, we have that space. Located at the MainPlace Mall is the dazzling Galeria of Imagination. Artwork from local and our youth is showcased in this intimate gallery located at the end of the mall near Things Remembered and Macy's. The community is welcome to take a class, create art, or even purchase a piece for their home decor.

As we entered the doors, we were impressed with the atmosphere and creative vibe of this space. My son, who almost gave up on art during quarantine, truly found his joy at The Galeria of Imagination.  Yenny and Jessica were very welcoming and gave us a little tour of the gallery and their plans for this space. Their next goal is to have more Santa Ana youth contribute in order to transform The Galeria of Imagination into the heart and soul core for the future generation of artists.

So next time you are walking through the mall, check out this special little pop up that is full of heart and creativity.

Take a class, create some art, and break bread with fellow artists of Santa Ana.
